The compositional stability of the layer plays a crucial role in determining the performance of perovskite solar cells. The research correlated the features and overall perovskite film performance with the effects of several common polymeric components. According to earlier research, polymers could be employed as additives to improve interaction between various grains in the perovskite films, as well as to facilitate the nucleation and control the growth of crystals. Polar solvents could be used to immerse polymers with ease, which lowers the contact angle and improves device stability. Additionally, polymers have been shown to improve optical, electrical, and other physical properties of materials with perovskite structures. The review study generally provides precise information about the polymeric additives added into the perovskite films that minimize the time required for researchers to conduct their investigation.
