Abstract

A "gas yard" is a facility designed for storing, processing, and distributing industrial gases, particularly bulk and specialty gases. These yards are often strategically located near semiconductor and display fabrication facilities to ensure efficient and timely gas delivery to these high-tech industries. The main purpose of this Gas yard is to provide gas for process operations. The process operation can vary from hot generator burner firing, autoclave firing or in furnace firing. The amount of gas pressure (intake gas) varies from process to process. The most important thing to keep in mind is the safety system installed from the gas yard to the plant for the control the flow of the gas. In this paper we will discuss the use of gas in hot generator, autoclave and furnace related process, its type and its safety measure installed for the working.
