Abstract

The rapid growth of digital technologies in India has paved the way for the emergence of digital assets, including cryptocurrencies, non-fungible tokens (NFTs), and blockchain-based financial instruments. This paper systematically reviews the literature on digital assets in India, providing secondary data analysis with interpretation and discussion. The methodology of the paper is purely based on PRISMA model which is found suitable to understand the rapidly evolving area with mixed sources of evidence. The findings highlight the challenges, opportunities, and regulatory considerations surrounding digital assets in India. The paper also offers a comprehensive understanding of the key factors influencing the adoption and regulation of digital assets in the country. The analysis concludes with strategic recommendations for policymakers and investors.
